the community at-large, to keep the Greater Gresham area safe and
drug-free.

Center for Family & Adolescent Research
A
federally funded outpatient treatment and research center offering free
counseling to qualifying families with a substance-using adolescent. We
currently have specialized programs for methamphetamine-using youth,
depressed youth using drugs or alcohol, and parents seeking help to
engage a drug-using youth in treatment.

New Avenues for Youth
"The mission of New Avenues for Youth is to help every youth reach
their fullest potential by offering a continuum of outcome-based
services that empower homeless youth to exit street life and that
prevent other youth from becoming homeless."

Police Activities League
"A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, the Police Activities League of
Greater Portland provides educational, recreational, and athletic
programs to the youth of the Portland / Gresham metropolitan area with
an emphasis on "disadvantaged" youth. PAL strives to connect law
enforcement and youth in a positive way. PAL utilizes athletics as well
as recreational and educational activities to instill positive life
principles and character building tools in an effort to deter juvenile
crime and violence. "

Oregon Partnership
"Oregon
Partnership is a statewide non-profit promoting healthy kids and
communities through drug and alcohol awareness, drug prevention
programs, and 24 hour crisis lines for treatment referrals and
suicide intervention. We work with schools and community coalitions
statewide, and our resource library is open to all to educate on the
dangers of substance abuse. "

Linea de Ayuda
Linea de Ayuda is the only crisis line for speakers of Spanish who are
experiencing drug and alcohol problems. The line is staffed by
highly skilled volunteer crisis workers.

YouthLine
A peer-to-peer crisis line for teens. Youth working under the
supervision of an adult answer calls on diverse topics including
substance abuse, depression, self-harm, dating violence and other
issues, many of which have substance abuse as an underlying issue.

Suicide Intervention
Two numbers, one important service. Oregon Partnership crisis
workers answer calls to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline,
1-800-273-TALK, and the Hopeline Network at 1-800-SUICIDE. Each month
Oregon Partnership responds to hundreds of callers who are considering
suicide or are suicidal at the time of their call.
